September: Responsible Gambling Education Month
During Responsible Gaming Education Month (RGEM) in September, MGM Resorts and BetMGM have promised to promote and lead a new program on responsible gambling. This month has been set aside to focus on spreading knowledge of the hidden risks associated with the gambling industry, which could have negative repercussions for customers/players who develop bad habits.
AGA – Assist Brands in Spreading the Word
The American Gaming Association (AGA) has urged businesses and brands to take a more active role in spreading awareness of the issue and assisting consumers in understanding the potential dangers that a seemingly harmless hobby may have in the US.
The companies will continue to collaborate with the AGA throughout RGEM. MGM Resorts and BetMGM are both actively participating in the AGA’s “Have A Game Plan” and “Bet Responsibly” programmes, which are targeted to the needs of casual and more seasoned gamblers.
AGA believes that anyone could develop an addiction to gambling, which is why continual efforts are being made to assist at-risk customers while also educating the public to avoid the problem in the first place. AGA will make use of every communication channel at their disposal to make sure that their messages regarding responsible and secure gambling are heard.
Print advertising and social media campaigns will be used to emphasize their dedication to various safety procedures and measures for online gambling. One of these is the British Columbia Lottery Corporation’s “Game Sense” responsible gambling program, which is situated in Canada.
Richard Taylor, manager of BetMGM’s responsible gaming program, is focussed and excited about the chance to see how they could provide provide great customer service with an emphasis on responsible gaming – quoting ““Through GameSense, we empower our employees and customers to approach gambling the right way – for fun and entertainment.”
